Waiheke island is where you must go in Auckland. If you like nature, you will definitely love there and if you like to drink wine, there would be a perfect place for you. I went the island on my day off and there was one of the beautiful places I’ve ever been. There’s nature was incredibly beautiful and there’s beaches made me feel relax.
How to get to the Island.
I went there by a ferry from downtown Auckland. It cost about $40 an adult. And I bought a one day bus ticket in the island, that cost $12. There also has tour buses but in my opinion, it’s better to buy one day bus ticket because if you bought a tour ticket you can’t change your plan until the tour is end and that costs $45. if you bought one day bus ticket you can change your plan flexibly, so I think it comes in handy.
Where I went in the island.
e A lot of nice cafes are in the island and I went to one of them where I could see Oneroa beach from the cafe. The cafe’s name is Wai Kitchen. I really recommend going to the cafe because there’s ocean view from the cafe is amazingly good and a pancake I ordered was incredibly delicious. The pancake was the most delicious pancake I’ve ever eaten in my life until now.
Vineyard is beautiful.
I am interested in wine recently, and Waiheke Island has a lot of good vineyards that is one of the reasons I wanted to go to the island. I went to CABLE BAY that is one of famous vineyards in the island.
I tasted four different type of wines for ten dollars. Each of them were nice and delicious. I also went a restaurant that is located the same place as where I tasted wins. The view from the restaurant was the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen from a restaurant. I could see ocean and beautiful New Zealand’s nature.
The nature is amazing.
I think New Zealand has incredibly beautiful nature, I am always amazed by its nature. Anyway, if you are considering to go to the island, I highly recommend going to Waiheke island. I am sure you can have a good time and there are a lot of places to stay. I think you can’t have a sightseeing whole over the island in one day because there are lots of places to see. It’s really good to spend a few days in the island if you have a time and budget.
I really recommend you to go to Waiheke Island, there is one of the best places to visit in Auckland I think.
