Napier is where you must go in New Zealand.

I went to Napier recently and there was one of the best places where I’ve ever been to in New Zealand.

What I’m going to tell you about in this article are

What kind of place Napier is

Where I went and recommend you to go

How long does it take from Auckland CBD by a car

What kind of place Napier is

Napier is the major city of the Taranaki region on the eastern coast of the North Island of New Zealand and the population there are just around 66,000 people. It takes almost 5 hours by car from Auckland. There are architectures are very old fashioned buildings that are called Art Deco. Those kinds of architecture were built in 1920-1930 and the whole center of Napier was rebuilt after an earthquake in 1931.

The vineyard is also popular

Another tourist attraction in Napier is Hawk’s Bay wine region that is very important to Napier city economically. The region is the second-largest wine region in New Zealand, so over 70 wineries are there. That is quite nice for me because I really like having some wine at the weekend since I came to this country. Actually, I didn’t drink much wine when I was in my home country. I drank loads of beer and Japanese sake instead. Now I learned a little bit about wine and I’m keen to get some knowledge of wine.

Where I went and recommend you to go

I went to Bell Rock and Te Mata Peak. These two places were amazing and I would highly recommend you to go there if you had a chance to be in Napier. I woke up at 4:30 AM and drove off my car on a road to get to the beautiful place. I reckon that even it’s hard and lazy to get out of your bed before sunrise, it’s really worth doing that because I arrived in Napier was around 10 AM and we still had plenty of time for sightseeing. If I had a chance to go there again I would do the same thing.

Bell Rock

Bell Rock

Bell Rock is located a little bit far from Napier center. It took about an hour to get to the place by car and there’s roads were very rough. I got on there roads a small tiny car. It was a bit hard to drive at normal speed I recommend you going there by SUV or 4WD car. It has worth going there though. Because when I arrived at Bell Rock, there was such a beautiful viewing of nature that I’ve never been and seen. So that was definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been in my life. I would really wanna go there again to see the beautiful and wanna stay longer than this time. Probably two to three days are enough for traveling to Napier.

Te Mata Peak

Te Mata Peak

I also went to Te Mata Peak the day after Bell Rock. I reckon that Te Mata Peak is the most popular place in Napier. There also has beautiful nature and I felt that’s New Zealand’s nature. It’s standing at 399 meters high and you can do climbing, tracking, and a picnic whatever you think it’s an activity. You could even run there if you have brave.

What I thought of Napier was

Napier is absolutely one of the best places to visit in New Zealand and I highly recommend going to these two places where I’m mentioning in this blog. I also would like you to do is to go to the vineyard to taste some wine where I couldn’t go because there’s wine is the second biggest wine-making place in New Zealand called Hawke’s bay. Even it’s a very far place from Auckland taking 5 hours driving, there won’t let you down and you’ll love Napier. I hope this blog helps your journey to New Zealand. I thought that New Zealand is a very small country compared to my home town but I’m getting loved in here’s beautiful nature and now I really would love to live in New Zealand. Cheers!!
